YOUR ARRIVAL IN SWITZERLAND

Pre-Conference Attendees:
Participants joining us for our Pre-Conference program will book air travel to arrive at Milan’s Malpensa Airport (MXP) by 10am on Monday, September 8, 2025. This will allow you to take our coach for the two-hour drive to Ascona.
Switzerland currently has no covid entry requirements.
The airport transfer is included in your registration; however, for anyone unable to book their travel in time for the coach, convenient public transportation is available for the journey from Milan to Ascona.
To travel independently from Milan to Ascona:
- There is a train from Malpensa that goes to the Milano Centrale railway station (a 50 minute ride). The entrance to the train is right outside the airport terminal. Tickets can be purchased at a machine in the station and cost €4 – €6. Alternatively, taxis are available to the railway station and cost approximately €90.
- You’ll need to purchase a ticket for the train from Milano Centrale to Locarno (a 2 hour ride). The Trainline app allows you to buy European train tickets online instead of using paper tickets.
- Taxis will be available from the Locarno railway station for the 10 minute drive to Ascona.
Another option:
Alternatively, for anyone unable to fly into Milan by 10am on the 8th, you may choose to arrive on the 7th of September, book a hotel for one night, and meet us at Malpensa Airport by 10:30am on September 8 for the coach transfer into Ascona.
For those of us staying at Eranos, you’ll be able to check in to your room, and receive a boxed lunch to enjoy, upon your arrival. There will be a short break for you to rest or explore the grounds at Eranos before our program begins.
For those of us staying at the Seeschloss, you’ll be able to leave your luggage at reception before our 3pm check-in, and will receive a boxed lunch upon your arrival. There will be a short break to rest before our program begins.
The first event of our Pre-Conference will be a welcome orientation at Eranos in the afternoon, followed by dinner that evening (exact details of our meeting time and location will be provided in your Welcome Packet, which will be emailed closer to conference time).
Main Conference Attendees:
We highly encourage participation in our Pre-Conference Experience; however, participants whose travels begin with our Main Conference will book their air travel to arrive at Malpensa Airport (MXP) by 10am on Wednesday, September 10. This will allow you to take our coach for the two-hour drive to Ascona.

All participants will be staying at Monte Verità during our Main Conference. You’ll be able to leave your luggage at reception before our 3pm check-in, and will receive a boxed lunch to enjoy upon your arrival. The afternoon is open for you to explore the beautiful grounds of Monte Verità before our opening night welcome reception and dinner.
Returning Home or Continuing On:
Our Main Conference will conclude around 11:30am on Sunday, September 14.
Those of us returning home at this point will travel by coach from Monte Verità back to Milan’s Malpensa Airport (MXP) in time for flights departing at 5pm or later. A boxed lunch will be provided.
Post-Conference Journey participants will depart from Monte Verità after lunch. Please see our Post Conference Itinerary for schedule details.
Joining us for the Post-Conference ONLY:
Participants whose travels begin with our Post-Conference should make their own way to Ascona by September 13. You’ll need to book your own accommodations in Ascona for the night of the 13th, and be prepared to meet our group at Monte Verità by 11:30am on the morning of Sunday, September 14.

Returning Home after the Post-Conference:
Our Post-Conference Journey concludes after breakfast on Friday, September 19.
Participants may book their flights out of Basel’s EuroAirport (BSL, EAP or MLH), and will travel independently to the airport.
The reception desk at our hotel in Dornach will be able to assist with booking a car to Basel’s railway station or airport. However, taxis are quite expensive, while Switzerland’s public transportation system is clean, inexpensive and efficient.
Our Dornach hotel is located next to the Dornach-Arlesheim railway station. From there, it’s a 10 minute train ride to Basel’s Bahnhof SBB where you can catch a direct bus to the airport (a 20 minute ride). Buses depart every 15 minutes and operate daily.
